Plano Mutual Cemetery, Plano
About Plano Mutual Cemetery, Plano
The first burials in Plano Mutual Cemetery were in the mid-19th century and originally this was a “country cemetery” located 1 3/4 miles northeast of Plano. Now, of course this location at the corner of Jupiter Rd. and 18th Street is well within the city of Plano. Over 4000 persons have been buried here, some prominent, some not, but all cherished by those who mourned their deaths.
The operations and improvements are financed by the sale of the right to bury in burial spaces, cremation spaces and columbarium niches, and by the income from invested endowment funds.
